The police at CPS Mbarara in Mbarara City have initiated an investigation into the death of Murindwa Isaac Isooke, also known as Mutooro, aged 30, a driver residing in Kyenjojo District. He was discovered deceased at CARO Guest House and Lodges in Rwebikoona Cell, Kamukuzi Ward, Mbarara City on the 18th of April 2024 around 11:00 AM.
According to reports, the deceased had rented a room at the guest house for the night on the 17th of April 2024, around 10:00 PM. The following morning, at approximately 7:00 AM, the guest house manager attempted to wake him up as part of a routine procedure but received no response.
Concerned, the manager alerted the police, who arrived at the scene. After unsuccessful attempts to rouse the occupant, they broke the window to gain visibility into the room. Subsequently, they forced entry by breaking the door and found the deceased lying lifeless on the bed.
The body was then transferred to the mortuary at Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital for postmortem examination, which will aid in the ongoing police investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.
Investigations into the incident are currently ongoing.
