Police in Mitooma District reported an incident involving the discovery of an unidentified body on 18/04/2024.
According to reports, the body was found dumped along the bank of Ncwera river.
The deceased, identified as Tumwesigye, aged 62, of Nyankole ethnicity and residing in Rwebitunda Cell, Rucence Parish, was found with their hands tied behind their back with a rope, and their head wrapped in a black polythene bag (commonly known as Kavera).
The body lacked any identification documents and was subsequently retrieved and transferred to Kitagata General Hospital in Sheema District for a postmortem examination.
