Julius Kubiriba, also known as Kasimbazi, residing in Kinyabushisha cell, Kitimba ward, Western Rukungiri Municipality, is urgently seeking support to undergo surgery to remove a pelvic orthosis from his leg, which has remained for an extended period.
On June 18, 2022, Kasimbazi suffered a leg fracture while defending himself against an assailant posing as a motorcycle taxi rider. This assailant, after purportedly offering him a ride home, stopped en route and inflicted the injury in an attempt to rob him.
Following the incident, Kasimbazi was initially taken to Nyakibale Hospital, from where he was referred to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital. Subsequently, on September 18, 2022, he was transferred to Kilembe Hospital in Kasese district, where a pelvic orthosis was surgically implanted in his leg.
Unfortunately, Kasimbazi has been living with this orthosis beyond the expected duration of one year, necessitating its removal. A sum of UGX 5 million is required to facilitate the surgical procedure.
