The Rukungiri district Muslim Kadhi Sheik Abdul Malik Byaruhanga Kayole has urged Muslims in Rukungiri district to be cooperative and distance themselves from those who are against the development of their religion.
He made these remarks on Sunday while visiting Marumba mosque in the Southern division Rukungiri municipality during his familiarization tour where he called for unity and togetherness among Muslims.
Sheik Abdul Malik Byaruhanga said that he is visiting these mosques to know the population of Muslims in the district and the location of the mosques but there is a section of some people who are against it.
He called upon them to desist from the vice because he will not be able to plan for Muslims whom he doesn’t know.
Hajji Abdullah Bananuka the Rukungiri district Muslim chairperson told Muslims that no Muslims should be poor because they don’t involve themselves in Luxurious spending like non-Muslims especially going to bars, therefore they should save and use their little money to develop their families.
Habib Mwaaza the secretary for lands and development Rukungiri Muslim district asked the Muslim committees to do a five years development work plan which will enable them to plan for their mosque accordingly in addition to having good bookkeeping for proper accountability.
Gideon Turyamubungana the Kanyinya ward councilor who attended the function asked Muslims to embrace educating their children if they are to remain with bases of Islamic religion.
