Police in Buhweju district are hunting for two suspects on allegations of murdering a 38-year-old man.
Marcial Tumusiime the greater Bushenyi police spokesperson identified the two suspects as Sseguya Innocent and Akankwasa Deo all residents of Kamukaki ‘B’ Village, Kamukaki Parish, Karungu sub-county in Buhweju District.
Tumusiime further identified the deceased as Kansiime Robert 38 years a resident of the above-named address.
It’s alleged that on Monday, the deceased went to the banana plantation of Sseguya where he allegedly cut a bunch of matooke without the owner’s consent.
He was immediately chased by the above-mentioned suspects who were guarding the plantation and after a short distance, he was speared by one of them, which resulted in his death instantly.
According to Mbabazi Allen, 38 the wife of the deceased allegedly heard the voices of two people who were chasing the deceased and was able to identify them.
Tumusiime said the postmortem was done from the scene by the Incharge doctor of Nsiika Health Center IV.
