Police in Kanungu are investigating circumstances surrounding the death of 58 years old Jenesita Bandaganire a resident of Katebere village Kayungwe parish/sub-county Kanungu district.
It’s alleged that during the night of 21st August 2023 at about 08:00 pm when the deceased was last seen in Mukanoni Trading Centre while buying Bushera and she left, heading to her home until Tuesday 22 August 2023 at about 07:00 pm, when the deceased was found lying in a plantation of sweet potatoes around 30 meters away from Katebere road while in a pool of blood oozing out from the nose and ears with head injuries.
The preliminary motive behind her killing was that she was leveling the ground at her home for a new house construction and the wrong elements are suspected to have moved with the money.
A report was made by one Deogracious Mugisha 32 years, the scene was visited and processed by a team of officers, a postmortem was done, and handed over to the relatives for a decent burial.
Inquiries are still at hand and suspects are not yet known.
