Police in Bushenyi District is investigating circumstances under which a 23-year-old man was on Tuesday afternoon found floating in a dam.
Marcial Tumusiime the greater Bushenyi police spokesperson identified the deceased as Gilbert Ariho 23 aresident of Nshonzi cell, Nshonzi Ward, Nyakabirizi Division, Bushenyi Ishaka municipality.
Tumusiime said the body was found floating on top of the water in the dam, in Kyeitembe West cell, central division along Mbarara Ishaka Kasese road.
He said the deceased has been a habitual smoker of both cigarettes, local tobacco, and opium and drink alcohol to the maximum.
According to the information the deceased after being delivered, his mother started doubting the biological father, and he has been staying with his grandfather Kamuzanduzi Elidad.
Tumusiime further said after postmortem at Kitagata Hospital in Sheema District, it was discovered that he died of injuries he sustained after he was hit with a blunt object on the left side of the head on top of the left eye.
