Bushenyi District police are investigating a fatal accident that claimed two lives and left two others injured on the evening of February 13, 2025.
The accident occurred at 7:40 PM at Omukatagu along the Ishaka-Kagamba road and involved a white FUSO truck, registration number UAX 019K.
According to Greater Bushenyi Police spokesperson, Marcial Tumusiime, both the deceased and the injured had not been identified at the time of the press briefing.
Reports indicate that the truck, which was transporting followers of Owobusobozi Bisaka from Kagadi Kapyemi to Kisoro District, was moving at high speed when the driver failed to negotiate a blind bend. The vehicle lost control, struck a pavement, and overturned.
Emergency responders transported the injured to Kitagata Hospital for medical treatment, while the bodies of the deceased were taken to the hospital’s mortuary. Investigations into the accident are ongoing.
