Kihanga FC secured a convincing 2–0 victory against Boona FM FC in an exciting Ekigutuuro activation match held at Kihanga Primary School playground in Buhunga Sub-county.
The well-attended encounter drew thousands of football fans from across the area, creating a lively atmosphere as the two sides battled it out. Goals from Neystar Katambagyira and Mugunya Beckham sealed the win for Kihanga FC, much to the delight of the home crowd.
The match forms part of the ongoing Ekigutuuro Rwaata Ngoma activations organized as Boona FM marks nine years of service in the region.
Speaking at the event, the newly elected District Councillor for Buhunga Sub-county, Allen Kyakusimiire Kazoora, applauded the community for turning up in large numbers and for their continued support of 91.8 Boona FM. She commended the radio station for its significant role in community development, particularly in nurturing youth talents.
Kazoora also expressed gratitude to Boona FM management for consistently engaging with the community and encouraged residents to maintain their support, especially during the main Ekyiguuturo Rwaata Ngoma celebrations.
Representing Boona FM, Station Manager Santurina Kakyene Namanya thanked the people of Kihanga Parish and Buhunga Sub-county for their enthusiasm and warm reception. She urged them to turn up in even greater numbers for the upcoming grand event.
The match marked the fifth activation in the countdown to the highly anticipatedEkigutuuro Rwaata Ngoma celebrations scheduled for July 11, 2026, an event expected to bring together thousands of people from across the district.
