Three individuals are reported to have lost their lives this afternoon following a tragic incident involving a cement-laden lorry colliding with their residence.
The accident occurred in Karigo cell within the Bugangari sub-county Rukungiri district along the Rukungiri-Kihiihi road.
The vehicle involved, bearing registration number UBC 789B, was en route from Rukungiri to Kihihi when the unfortunate event transpired.
Among the deceased are two young children and one adult who were inside their home at the time of the accident.
While police have arrived at the scene, an official statement regarding the incident is yet to be released.
