Moreen Nuwasiima, a teacher at Kyaruhotora Primary School in Kyaruhotora Parish, Nyarushanje Sub County, Rukungiri District is detained at Rukungiri Central Police Station over charges of obtaining money by false pretence.
She was arrested by the office of the Resident District Commissioner led by Steven Nsubuga Bewayo and handed over to the police for investigation after the erudition that she had destabilized the area.
It is alleged that Moreen Nuwasiima received 1.5 million shillings from Anne Kyomuhangi after promising her to get a job from the District Service Commission for her child Daizy Nuwamanya, a grade three qualified teacher.
Anne Kyomuhangi was a treasurer of bataka zone, she gave the bataka zone money to Moreen Nuwasiima expecting to replace it as soon as she gets a loan, bataka zone wanted to use its cash before she received the loan which made the payee request back the money hence the money was paid back in 2 installments.
