Police in Rukungiri are investigating circumstances surrounding the death of a 28 years old man Amon Twijukye a resident of Rumira cell Bugangari parish / sub-county Rukungiri district, who was allegedly cut by Habert Naturinda 19 years a resident of the same address.
It’s alleged that on 15/08/2023 at around 23:00hrs, while the deceased was at Rumira Trading Center together with Naturinda Herbert and Dick, they asked Ninsiima Agatha alias Muteta to serve them with alcohol and she refused because she had already closed her shop/bar.
While she was still standing there, there came the deceased who sat together with them in the shade of Ninsiima’s bar. All of sudden Naturinda Herbert started quarrelling with the deceased over their long time standing grudge.
Since he was armed with a panga, cut the deceased on the neck and he fell. He was rushed to Nyakibale Hospital where breathed his last moments later.
Police at Bugangari were informed by Mathias Tusryasingura; the scene was visited and processed by OC Station and CID Bugangari Police,
The suspect was arrested and is in custody and Postmortem was done.
Inquiries are at hand.
