The Territorial Police in Rubanda are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Turyasingura Philemon, a 30-year-old man, and are hunting for the suspect(s) responsible for his death.
It is alleged that on the morning of January 17, 2024, at Birara Cell, Muyanje Ward, Bubare Town Council, Rubanda District, Christmas Andrew, while on his way to work, discovered his brother lying about 30 meters away from their home in a pool of blood. He immediately returned home and informed his parents and other residents. The body was subsequently moved from the scene to the house.
The police were notified, and the scene was visited and documented. It was established that the victim’s head had been smashed. A postmortem examination was conducted, and inquiries are ongoing.
The police urge anyone with information that could lead to the identification and apprehension of the culprits to come forward and volunteer it so that those involved are brought to justice.
