Clergy and Christians at Kabira Archdeaconry, West Ankole Diocese, in Kabira Town Council, Mitooma District, have praised the Kazoora Foundation for upgrading the road connecting the church to the main road.
The Kazoora Foundation, through its initiatives, facilitated a grader on Friday, 17th January 2025, to upgrade the road for the first time.
Stephen Innocent Abaasa, the head of laity at Kabira Archdeaconry, expressed gratitude for the road improvement, which has transformed what was once a shameful, pothole-filled path. He noted that the road’s poor condition during the rainy season caused injuries to Christians, damaged vehicles, and increased transport fares for clergy and the faithful.
Venerable Stephen Asingwire, the Archdeacon of Kabira Archdeaconry, expressed excitement about the upgrade, citing years of fruitless petitions to area Members of Parliament and authorities. He described the Kazoora Foundation as fulfilling a divine mission beyond public recognition.
He further highlighted other contributions by the Foundation, such as donating 200 bags of cement for constructing the new church. He called the road improvement a milestone toward the vision of making Kabira Archdeaconry a model Archdeaconry in the Diocese.
The Kazoora Foundation emphasized its commitment to the commandment of building God’s house and its dedication to improving livelihoods. Recalling previous donations, the Foundation highlighted the 100 bags of cement provided to All Saints Church Rukungiri, Bikungu Archdeaconry, and Rwankora Church of Uganda Parish in Kajara. It assured its mission to develop public infrastructure and support communities beyond its local district.
