Venerable Dickens Baguma, the Archdeacon of Nyakisoroza Archdeaconry in the North Kigezi Diocese, has urged the clergy to fulfill their righteous roles of strengthening people’s relationships with God and focusing on heavenly treasures. He emphasized that God, in return, would pour out His blessings upon them.
Venerable Baguma delivered this message during the installation service of Rev. Justus Otafiire as the parish priest of Nyarurambi Church of Uganda, Nyarurambi Parish, Nyakisoroza Archdeaconry, North Kigezi Diocese. The ceremony took place at Nyarurambi Church of Uganda.
In his sermon, Venerable Baguma noted that some families are held back by spiritual and social barriers that hinder their progress. He urged individuals to accept Jesus Christ as the key to breaking these chains and called on the clergy to play a vital role in this transformation through their teachings. He commended Rev. Justus Otafiire and his wife for their outstanding work in spreading the word of God. He encouraged Christians to support and cooperate with Rev. Otafiire for the growth and development of the church.
Rev. Justus Otafiire, the newly installed Reverend, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all those who attended and supported his installation ceremony. He pledged to bring spiritual revival to the church. He shared plans to strengthen fellowship among members, including those residing in Kampala, to ensure they remain connected to the church community.
Rev. Otafiire also vowed to work collaboratively with the congregation to meet their obligations, complete their quota on time, and ensure the completion of ongoing church construction projects. He promised to carry out his duties with dedication and diligence for the advancement of the church.
Doreen Busingye Muheru Mubangizi, the guest of honor, congratulated Rev. Otafiire and his wife on their installation and commended the Christians for their love and support during the occasion. She encouraged the congregation to work together in unity for their collective development and improved livelihoods.
