The North Kigezi diocesan Bishop Rt. Rev Onesimus Asiimwe has called upon Christians in the North Kigezi diocese to purchase Archdeaconry vehicles which will help their Archdeacons to do their work effectively.
He made these remarks on Wednesday at Ndere church of Uganda in Kashenyi Archdeaconry Ruhinda Sub-county as he confirmed 63 Christians into the Anglican faith.
The bishop stressed that it’s not good to find Archdeacons using motorcycles as means of transport as they move to serve their Christians hence asking all Archdeaconaries to cooperate and full fill it if they want men of God to serve them well.
Bishop says the vehicle may be owned by the Archdeaconry or be awarded to the Archdeacon based on the Christian’s take and will.
He commended the good work Ndere church of Uganda is doing in terms of church expansion and coffee-growing project hence asking them to cooperate with their new priest who was recently posted to their church.
Bishop Asiimwe commended the good works done by Boaz Kansiime Matita who roofed Ndere church of Uganda which is still under construction.
Richard Magezi Ndere church of Uganda head of the laity said as the church they are working hard to complete their church though they still have some challenges like a lack of access road to their church which they working tirelessly to solve it.
He added that they are ready to utilize their land by planting more coffee to get more church income.
Rev James Mbabazi Nahabwe who has spent two weeks at Ndere church of Uganda said he is ready to work with Christians for the development of Ndere Church of Uganda.
He asked newly confirmed Christians to be prayerful and keep in the church if they want to be true Christians.
