The territorial police of Kisoro are hunting for one Gilbert Uwimana who critically cut a 32 years old woman Oliver Busingye of Dusave village Muhanga parish Nyundo sub county Kisoro district, over a land conflict.
According to Elly Mate, it’s alleged that on 02 August 2023 at around 0800 PM at Kabahunde trading center, the victim was unlawfully attacked at the shop of pastor Moses while buying salt by her brother-in-law one Uwimana Gilbert who cut her on the head, back, and right arm and left leg, that because his parents gave her a piece of land he wanted to possess.
A report was made on 04 August 2023, the victim was taken to St. Francis Mutolere Hospital where she is undergoing treatment and the scene was accordingly visited and documented.
Efforts to apprehend the suspects are ongoing to face the law.
