The territorial police in Kanungu recently registered a case of alleged homosexuality against 28 years old Akim Kamugisha a resident of Butogota central ward/ town council of Kanungu district.
According to the Kigezi Police spokesperson Elly Mate, it’s alleged that since the beginning of the month of July 2023, the suspect started befriending one Nahabwe Travor a student and resident of Butogota Rutwe cell Southern ward Butogota town council, took him to a certain bar and bought him 3 bottles of Guinness and they left the bar at around O3 00 AM to the home of the suspect, where he forces fully sodomized him while capturing a video clip.
After the wrong act, the suspect threatened the victim that if he discloses the information to his parents or any other person, he will expose the video clip to the media.
On the same morning at about 06:00 am the victim went back to their home and still the same suspect called him back to his place and threatened him that if he fails, to comply he will expose the video clip, He went back and was again sodomized.
Information started leaking that a suspect is gay by virtue that he attempted to sodomize another person Iragaba Brendan 20 years old, a resident of the same address whom the suspect lured into the act that he had got him a job at Amber Heart of Great Singer Baby Cool.
The said Iragaba Brendan was extremely happy and the suspect (Akim) corned him 50,000 as transport that was to take the said Brendan to Amber Heart of Great Singer Baby Cool.
To his surprise at about 09:00 PM, the suspect called him to find him at his home, that the vehicle was going to pick him up from Kampala to Amber Heart.
The victim rushed immediately to his place and reached inside the suspect’s house, the suspect locked him inside and forcefully attempted to sodomize him but the victim struggled hard and rescued himself from the evil man.
Trevor was left disappointed and had nothing to say about being traumatized by the suspect due to their continuous sodomizing him, that’s when he revealed the same information.
The case of homosexuality was reported on 28/07/2023 the suspect was arrested immediately and
crime scene was visited.
The Suspect appeared in Court on Thursday 03th August 2023 on five Counts.
— Two counts of Aggravated trafficking in persons,
— One Count of trafficking in persons,
— One Count of Rape and lastly,
— One Count of attempted Rape.
He was remanded to Kanungu prison up to 17/08/2023 for mention.
