It was a joyous and celebratory day as Kebisoni SACCO recognized over 15 members for exemplary saving habits and increased shareholding. The members were rewarded with various items, including cows, goats, hens, and rice, as part of the SACCO’s appreciation initiative.
The Kebisoni SACCO Christmas promotion, dubbed Orugabuuro rwa Christmas, saw seven individuals receiving cows, while others were awarded goats and other items for their outstanding contributions to the SACCO through share purchases and savings.
Among those rewarded with cows were Chris Nsanze, Muhangi Patrick, and Kafureeka Joseph. The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the SACCO management for the recognition and rewards, emphasizing how the promotion had motivated them to save and invest more. They also encouraged others to join Kebisoni SACCO, describing it as a developmental institution that significantly benefits its members.
Reverend Father Emmanuel Safari, the chairperson of Kebisoni SACCO, praised the clients who were rewarded, acknowledging their commitment to saving and purchasing shares. He highlighted how Kebisoni SACCO, as one of the largest SACCOs, has transformed lives by enabling members to start businesses and improve agricultural practices. Father Safari further urged members to continue buying shares to sustain and enhance their livelihoods.
Ainembabazi Advine, the General Manager of Kebisoni SACCO, expressed her gratitude to all members who actively saved and purchased shares. She encouraged the public to continue participating in similar promotions, as saving and investing with Kebisoni SACCO boosts access to loans and other benefits.
Ainembabazi also revealed that the Christmas promotion had successfully raised UGX 217 million. She urged those who received rewards to use them wisely and encouraged others to take part in future promotions.
Byoruganda Alex Nathan, the Mayor of Kebisoni Town Council and the guest of honor at the event introduced new staff members and commended the existing team for their hard work and dedication, which have significantly contributed to the SACCO’s development. He also expressed his appreciation to the founders and pioneers of Kebisoni SACCO for their visionary leadership.
In his address, Mayor Byoruganda encouraged attendees not to be complacent with their current education levels but to seize every opportunity to further their studies and achieve greater heights. He acknowledged the rapid development of Kebisoni Town Council, attributing much of the progress to the SACCO’s provision of loans that have supported various developmental activities.
