During his first preaching service at All Saints Church, Rukungiri, located in the North Kigezi Diocese, Rev. Amos Musigunzi, the newly appointed vicar, encouraged Christians to prioritize fellowship, prayer, and a commitment to Christian values. He emphasized the importance of youth involvement in the faith, urging them to avoid unhealthy practices such as drug abuse, sexual immorality, theft, and other vices, which he noted are traps set by Satan.
Mr. Moses Muhoozi, the Senior Warden at All Saints Church, called on Christians to promote unity, friendship, and adherence to Christian values while extending their support to the newly appointed church leaders. These leaders include Rev. Moses Tugume, the new curate, and his wife, Mrs. Penelope Asasira, as well as Rev. Amos Musigunzi, the new vicar, and his wife, Mrs. Pamela Nyakato.
In addition, Hannington Tumutegerize, who served at All Saints Church for nearly three years as a lay reader, was thanked for his dedicated service. He has been reassigned to serve at Rukondo Church of Uganda, starting Wednesday, January 22, 2024.
Mr. Moses Muhoozi thanked Hannington and his wife for their contributions, including guidance, counseling, organizing services, and their love for the congregation. He praised Priest Hannington’s dedication, especially his role as the secretary of the church committee.
Mr. Japan, the Head of Laity at All Saints Church, also congratulated Hannington for his exemplary leadership and assured him of continued support even as he moved to Rukondo Church of Uganda.
In his farewell remarks, Hannington expressed his appreciation for the unity and love shown to him by the congregation during his time at All Saints Church. He pledged to remain a committed representative at Rukondo Church of Uganda.
