The Bishop of the Diocese of Kinkiizi Rt Rev Dan Zoreka has challenged church leaders to diversify their sources of income.
Speaking at the at the last day of the leadership and management workshop that started on Monday 28th November at St. Andrew’s C.O.U Kihiihi Bishop Zoreka rallied the Diocesan clerics to use the many resources at their disposal to invest, saying the biggest capital they have are their heads.
Fredrick Olweny who was the chief facilitator hailing from the CORAT AFRICA based in Kenya equipped the clerics with skills in Basic Counseling, Grant Proposal Writing, Cooperate Governance, Effective Communication, Effective Meetings and Investment Management.
Eng. Sam Kajojo, The Kanungu District LC5 Chairman – who was present at the closing ceremony said this is a time for building teamwork.
He appreciated the various topics covered which he approved as a complete package needed for a holistic minister.
He encouraged Priests to develop their home area in which they will stay when they retire from fulltime church ministry.
Sam Kajojo called upon all people to cooperate in developmental activities of Kanungu.
This will be followed by another three days Ordination Retreat under the theme (Keep yourself pure for God’s Honourable use) drawn from 2 Timothy 2:21 in which 2 will be made Deacons as well as 6 be made Priests.
