Rt Rev Onesimus Asiimwe, the Bishop of North Kigezi Diocese, has issued a challenge to married men, urging them to commit to their marriages and cherish their wives as a means to foster stable families.

During an Easter Sunday sermon at Emmanuel Cathedral Kinyasano, located in the western division of Rukungiri municipality, Bishop Onesmus emphasized the importance of marital commitment. He observed a concerning trend where many individuals opt for cohabitation instead of formalizing their unions through marriage, a practice he deemed contrary to God’s teachings and lacking in respect within the divine order.

In addition to advocating for marital fidelity, the Bishop urged his congregation to embrace Jesus as their savior and to abstain from engaging in sinful behaviors that could lead to prolonged suffering.

Furthermore, Bishop Onesimus cautioned against placing trust in witchcraft, noting instances where some Christians seek out witch doctors in pursuit of longevity on Earth. He emphasized that such actions undermine faith in God, who alone holds the ultimate plan for each individual’s life journey.
