Rev. Martin Ngabirano, the Deputy Principal at Canon Ndimbiirwe Bible College Kyamakanda, yesterday challenged the Christians of Yakobo Orikwera Buhandagazi Church of Uganda Parish to collaborate with their church leaders to foster growth in their parish.
He made these remarks during a service that drew thousands of Christians, who were celebrating the one-year anniversary of the parish and the first year of Rev. Sison Gumisiriza’s service as parish priest.
Rev. Ngabirano emphasized the importance of Christians working alongside their church leaders to embrace the Kingdom of God and advance the development of their respective churches.
Rev. Sison, the parish priest of Yakobo Orikwera Buhandagazi Church of Uganda, noted that he joined the parish on July 8th, 2023, and attributed his completion of a year at this parish to God’s grace. He expressed gratitude to the church members for supporting him in their parish’s development efforts.
He highlighted the progress made in the parish, including the establishment of a church school, the regular payment of diocesan dues, and the enhancement of spiritual revival through daily evening fellowships. He underscored the significance of celebrating the parish’s one-year anniversary.
Ben Tugume also commended Rev. Sison for his contributions to the parish, which include praying for the sick, baptizing new Christians, building a church school, ensuring timely payment of diocesan dues, and continuing the development projects initiated by Rev. Richard Kwehangana.
During the event, Christians exchanged gifts as a symbol of love and unity within their parish.
