Police in Rubirizi District, is holding a primary school teacher on charges of aggravated defilement.
Macial Tumusiime the greater Bushenyi police spokesperson identified the suspect as Baluku Hangson a 32-year-old teacher at Moonlight Nursery and primary school in Rubirizi District.
Tumusiime explains that on 23/4/2023 at around 1:00 Pm when the victim was on her way from church, she was invited by the teacher into his room and lured into sex.
Byamukama Didas 36, a resident of Rwandaro 2 cell, Rumuri parish Kicwamba in Rubirizi District who reported the matter to police said the victim is a 15-year-old P.5 pupil at Moonlight Nursery and primary school.
According to Byamukama, the victim was rescued by teachers who called the headteacher who in turn removed the victim from the suspect’s room and handed the suspect over to police.
