Gloria was caught red-handed stealing bananas from a plantation owned by Katungisa Nicholas, a hardware dealer in Bwooma trading center. She was subsequently handed over to the police for appropriate disciplinary action.
This incident has shed light on the prevalent issue of theft in the area, prompting residents to initiate a communal campaign against it. Katungisa Nicholas, the victim of this theft, expressed his frustration over losing 1 to 3 bunches of bananas every week and has vowed to pursue legal action against the suspect.
Mbarebaki Denis, the Chairperson of LC1 Kagyera Cell, emphasized the daily occurrence of theft cases in their community and urged people to engage in productive activities rather than resorting to theft. He also mentioned the implementation of enhanced patrols to tackle the issue.
Banturaki Charles, the Chairperson of LC1 Kanyanku Cell, characterized Ninsiima Gloria as unemployed, a drunkard, and a known suspect in their area.
