Rukungiri district deputy resident commissioner Wilberforce Ahimbisibwe Ongom has advised school heads and directors to involve parents in planning for school fees increments to reduce misunderstandings between the school authorities and parents.

Ahimbisibwe says that some school heads and directors have taken advantage of the increasing prices of essential commodities to increase school fees without consulting parents, an issue that has escalated misunderstandings between the two parties.

He further says that education is composed of parents, teachers, students, and the government as the fourth arm, and that school heads and directors should not make decisions to increase school fees without consulting the parents.
