The Rukungiri Municipality Member of Parliament Hon Dr Elisa Rutahigwa has asked farmers to trust the Parish Development Model program for the development of their families.
The legislator said this on Wednesday while addressing mourners at the sendoff of Nalongo Jovailo Tusingwire of Rugyendwa cell, Kyàmakanda Parish, Buyanja Sub County, Rukungiri District where he represented the Security Minister Hon Maj General Jim Muhwezi.
Rutahigwa revealed that legislators who recently attended the Kyankwazi retreat, discussed with the president some changes within the Parish Development Model program and challenged farmers to love the program because they are the immediate beneficiaries.
The North Kigezi diocese retired Archdeacon Nathan Mugisha Kirebete who represented the Bishop Rt Rev Onesmus Asiimwe in his eulogy, hailed the deceased for the work done towards preaching the gospel with her husband retired Rev Canon Joseph Tusingwire.
He emphasized that the deceased was a hard-working servant of God, caring, and developmental, where he asked Christians to emulate her.
Rev Canon Joseph Tusingwire and his family appreciated the comfort and support exhibited by relatives and friends during the trying moment and described the deceased as a genius.
The deceased who succumbed to pressure at the age of 69, left a husband, 8 children, and 30 grandchildren.
