Educationists in Rukungiri District are celebrating the outstanding performance in the recent Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) exams, where no student failed.
At Kashenyi Secondary School in Ruhinda Sub County, out of the 100 students who sat for the exams, 7 achieved between 15 and 20 points, 44 scored between 10 and 14 points, 43 scored between 5 and 9 points, and 6 scored between 1 and 4 points.
Canon Twinomujuni Wycliff Makky, the head teacher of Kashenyi Secondary School, credited the success to the discipline and godliness of the students. He urged current students to emulate the achievements of the graduates.
Similarly, at St. Raphael Nyakanyinya Secondary School in Ruhinda Sub County, 3 out of the 33 students scored between 15 and 20 points, 15 scored between 10 and 14 points, 14 scored between 5 and 9 points, and 1 scored between 1 and 4 points.
Bekunda Jones, the head teacher of St. Raphael Nyakanyinya Secondary School, expressed gratitude for the school’s performance and encouraged current students to stay focused for even better results.
At Rwabukoba Secondary School in Ruhinda Sub County, out of the 35 students who sat for the exams, 7 scored between 15 and 20 points, 18 scored between 10 and 14 points, and 10 scored between 5 and 9 points.
Sabiiti Erick, the headteacher of Rwabukoba Secondary School, attributed the success to disciplined students, timely completion of the syllabus, and teamwork. He urged current students to cooperate for improved results.
Ainamaani Jonan, a former student of Rwabukoba Secondary School, credited his success to hard work, a conducive learning environment, and expressed his career aspirations in agriculture and environmental professions.
