Over 92 government-aided primary schools and more than 20 private schools in Rubabo County, Rukungiri district are preparing to undertake pre-Mock examinations, thanks to Mr. David Tushabeomwe Ndindirize, who is vying for the Rubabo County Parliamentary seat.
The distribution of these examinations began in Buyanja and Kebisoni sub-counties and town councils, concluding with Nyarushanje and Nyakishenyi sub-counties, where they were received by school headteachers and representatives.
According to Ndindirize, these exams aim to enhance the performance of pupils, particularly those preparing for their final exams, by preparing them to compete at the national level. He emphasized that this initiative, which he conducts annually regardless of election outcomes, is geared towards improving education standards. He also noted the inclusion of private schools that registered with his office, calling on the people of Rubabo to support these efforts for local development.
Hebert Turyasingura explained that the exams are designed to assess pupils and help them overcome exam-related fears, as they were crafted by education experts following the curriculum. Each school received a timetable and study guides, with results to be evaluated for effectiveness after completion.
Headteachers like Hebert Musasizi from Kebisoni Integrated Primary School and Salary Beinomugisha from Nyakinju Primary School expressed gratitude to Hon. Tushabeomwe for his consistent support in providing these preparatory examinations, which have positively impacted their schools’ performance.
