Rev. James Twebaze, the parish priest of St. Peter’s Mutaturwa Church of Uganda in Nyeibingo Parish, Kebisoni Sub County, Rukungiri District, has urged parents to support local schools to ensure accessible and nearby education for their children.

Speaking yesterday during his sermon at St. Peter’s Mutaturwa Church of Uganda, Rev. Twebaze called on parents to enroll their children at Rwabihurwa Primary School and foster greater cooperation with the institution.

He criticized the practice of sending children to distant schools, which jeopardizes the survival of local schools despite offering the same curriculum.

Glorious Natamba Turigye, the headmistress of Rwabihurwa Primary School, expressed her gratitude for the conducive environment created by the church, parents, and well-wishers, including alumni. She emphasized the staff’s commitment to providing quality education.

Peace Nahurira, a parent, reaffirmed her trust in the school’s current staff and assured continued support from parents to uphold the quality of education.
