Christians were encouraged on Sunday to embrace the love of God and accept the Lord as their shepherd in order to overcome life’s challenges and achieve their dreams. This call was made during the Liberation Day celebrations and church service held at All Saints Church, Rujumbura, North Kigezi Diocese.
The service was led by the newly appointed curate, Rev. Moses Tugume, who assured the congregation that trusting in God and allowing Him into their lives would guide, protect, and love them unconditionally. He emphasized that having the Lord as a shepherd would enable Christians, especially those with families, to overcome daily struggles and accomplish their aspirations.
Rev. Tugume also called on Christians to celebrate the 39th Liberation Day by recognizing the sacrifices made by national heroes to liberate the country. He reminded them that these heroes were led by the Lord, urging believers to accept God’s love as a shield against life’s challenges.
The new All Saints Church vicar, Rev. Amos Musinguzi, commended the curate for his inspiring message and cautioned Christians against consulting witch doctors and false pastors out of fear. He encouraged them to remain calm and confident by making the Lord their shepherd and accepting Jesus Christ as their personal savior to meet their family needs and face life’s difficulties.
Additionally, the church’s senior warden, Moses Muhoozi, urged Christians to prioritize seeking and serving God. He condemned the habit of arriving late to church services, advising members to keep time when coming to worship. He also called on those willing to serve as church wardens to register with church officials, reminding them of the importance of doing God’s work.
