Residents of Kagarama A cell, Rwakirungura Parish, Buyanja Sub County, Rukungiri District, have initiated the construction of a road in their area measuring over 2 kilometers through communal effort.

The road, starting from Bagarame trading center and extending to Buyanja Town Council, will be worked on every Tuesday. Residents have generously provided land for the road, with a 3-meter width from both sides of the boundary and a 6-meter width from individual landowners.

Fred Bihegye, a resident of Kagarama A cell, emphasized the need for better transportation infrastructure due to insufficient transport networks.

Peace Bampabwire, the Chairperson of LC1 Kagarama A cell, revealed that the road was constructed to connect them with the Town Council, hoping for its maintenance by the Town Council.

Agaba Emmy Rubondo, the Chairperson of LC3 Buyanja Sub County, commended the residents for their land contributions and communal work, urging them to continue such efforts for better roads to accommodate the growing population.
