The Archdeacon of Buhunga Archdeaconry North Kigezi diocese Ven. James Tumusime has challenged church leaders to have a hand in combating domestic violence.
He said this while addressing hundreds of people who gathered at Murama church Of Uganda in Buhunga Archdeaconry North Kigezi Diocese for the Marital Silver Jubilee celebrations of Rev. Emmanuel Baributsya and Gaud Baributsya.
Ven. Tumusiime said that it is a mandate of church leaders especially the clergy to have families that are full of love, developmental, and God-fearing, noting that this can motivate others.
He also challenged the youth to abstain from pre-marital sex, but to prepare themselves for Christian marriage at the right time.
long journey for them to complete 25 years in marriage, noting that they have gone through darkness and light moments that give them the energy to thank God.
They further challenged their fellow married couples to prioritize respect, forgiveness, and patience, noting that these are the factors for their success.
Rev. Baributsya has served in different churches including Ruteete church of Uganda, Kyabugashe church of Uganda, Kasoroza church of Uganda, and Murama Parish his current location.
