Councilors of Bwambara Sub County, Rukungiri District have resolved to have a peaceful demonstration and storm the district headquarters to express their dissatisfaction over the sorry state of their roads.
The resolution was made on Wednesday during a council session held at Bwambara Sub-county headquarters.

Councilors noted that it is unfortunate to save fuel money on the Sub County account for 3 financial years as a result of the lack of the grader yet the district has it.

The roads that are in poor state include the one that begins at the Sub County headquarters to the Police post up to Burambira Trading Center, the one that begins at Late Bashabe’s premises and stretches to Jinja Trading Center up to Rushaya Bridge, as well as the one that begins at Omukatare Kikarara stretching to Omukashaija – Burambira upto Kiyana.

Rukundo Onesmus, Councilor representing Nyabubale Parish who moved the motion to demonstrate says that they are tired of confusion from the responsible leaders telling them lies every day.

Tumuhirwe Winnie, the Female Councilor of Nyabubale Parish who doubles as the Vice Chairperson LC3 revealed that they are frustrated by seeing graders in other sub-counties yet they are suffering.
Christopher Kagayano, the Bwambara Chairperson LC3 asked the district Councilors who were present to lobby a grader.Ngabirano Justus, the Councilor representing Bwambara Parish who doubles as the Chairperson General Purpose Committee, and Musimenta James, the Councilor representing Kikarara Parish who doubles as the Deputy Speaker expressed worry that the money might not be on the account for all that long because they don’t even have access to the account.
