Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja has asked the people of Sheema to involve in growing vegetables to generate immediate income.

Nabbanja while presiding over the belated International Women’s Day celebration for Sheema District at Sheema main stadium in Kabwohe division, Sheema municipality on Saturday, said people should get constant and immediate money through short-term ventures.

She said since the people of Sheema have inadequate land, they should now start to grow crops like onions, Carbages, and other Vegetables which take little time to harvest and generate income.

At the same function, a total of about 40M was raised under the Sheema Women development forum (SWODEF)to help in boosting women’s income-generating projects.

Rosemary Nyakikongoro, the Sheema woman Member of Parliament said the money that was raised will help in empowering women projects in the District.

She said they will start mobilizing women to start income-generating activities at the parish level.
