Father Conrad Atuhaire, the Parish Priest of Nyakibale Catholic Parish, has urged public servants to care for and pray for their workplaces as they would for their families.
He delivered this message on Friday, August 23, 2024, during his sermon at the annual prayer mass organized to ward off evil spirits at the Western Division headquarters in Rukungiri Municipality.
The service providers of Western Division initiated this annual prayer mass to seek comfort and protection following the recent loss of three colleagues within a short period.
Father Conrad emphasized that leadership is a gift from God and urged public servants to love one another and pray for divine mercy to protect their workplaces from evil influences.
Ms. Sylivia Twinomugisha Katimbira, the LC3 Chairperson of Western Division, expressed her gratitude to God for the wisdom in organizing the prayer mass, acknowledging that their authority comes from God and praying for the guidance of the Holy Spirit in their service delivery.
Mathias Kamusiime, the Speaker of Western Division, expressed his satisfaction, stating that their objective of healing had been achieved.
Councilors Behimbisa Enock Karuhura, Topher Science, and Atananzio Karuhura highlighted the importance of renewal and unity after the loss of their colleagues.
