Police in Kebisoni Town Council, Rukungiri District are currently investigating the abduction of a one-and-a-half-month-old toddler named Kishama Gabriel.
Kishama Gabriel is the child of Byamukama Isaac, aged 34, residing in Nyamambo A cell, Central Ward, Kebisoni Town Council, and Mbabazi Joan, aged 17, residing in Kakinga Cell, Central Ward, Kebisoni Town. The child was taken from the mother by an individual identified only as Adera.
Adera, a resident of Rwankoma Cell, Southern Ward, Kebisoni Town Council, was acquainted with the child’s mother. Adera visited the child’s mother at her maternal grandfather’s residence in Kakinga Cell and absconded with the baby during a stroll near Rumbugu trading center in Southern Ward, Kebisoni Town Council.
Adera persuaded Mbabazi Joan to accompany her to Rumbugu trading center, and en route, they opted to hire a motorcycle taxi. While preparing to board the motorcycle, Mbabazi Joan briefly left to relieve herself. Upon her return, she discovered that the motorcycle had departed, heading towards Nyarushanje Sub County, Rukungiri District.
The incident has been documented under file SB REF 08/07/04/2024 at Kebisoni Town Council Police Post, pending further investigation.
