Over 20 million Ugandan Shillings was raised on Sunday, 15th December 2024, during a thanksgiving service organized by Mr. Mugabe Robert at Rwobusisi Church of Uganda in Kyamakanda Archdeaconry, North Kigezi Diocese, located in Kyamakanda Parish, Buyanja Sub-County, Rukungiri District.
Mr. Mugabe Robert, the Director of Mugabe General Hardware in Rukungiri along Karegyesa Road, organized the thanksgiving to express gratitude for the blessings of a humble family, his children’s academic achievements, and the success of his business.
Engineer Canon Christopher Tumusime, an employee of the National Water and Sewerage Corporation and the director of Lorrycorn Hotel, officiated the event. He encouraged Christians to support church activities, to ensure the smooth operation of the church.
Rev. Polycarp Katwesigye, the Archdeacon of Kyamakanda Archdeaconry, commended Mugabe Robert for acknowledging God’s blessings and also praised the Bishop of North Kigezi Diocese, the Right Rev. Onesimus Asiimwe, for prioritizing evangelism.
In his sermon, Rev. Canon Elidard Ahimbisibwe Kashanje, the Archdeacon of Nyakagyeme Archdeaconry, urged Christians to embrace thanksgiving as a way of giving back to God, emphasizing that generosity leads to the multiplication of blessings.
Justus Kwikiriza, the lay reader of Rwobusisi Church of Uganda, praised Mugabe Robert for playing a vital role in achieving a significant part of their festival target. He expressed optimism for a successful festival season that would contribute to the Church’s development.
In his remarks, Mugabe Robert expressed gratitude for the large turnout, which made the event memorable. He shared that the thanksgiving was organized to praise God for the blessings of a humble and education-oriented family and a thriving business. He urged people to prioritize thanksgiving, emphasizing that those who give to God will never lose.
