Over 140 local tourists from Rukungiri district have today embarked on an exciting journey to the Karamoja subregion as part of the Boona FM Karamoja Tour. The group, which includes local tourists from various districts in the Kigezi and Ankole subregions, is participating in this initiative aimed at showcasing the natural beauty and cultural heritage of Uganda.

The Boona FM tour initiative officially began in 2024 with a successful trip to the Bunyoro subregion. Following the positive response from tourists, the management decided to organize a longer trip to Northern Uganda, allowing participants to explore more of the country’s diverse regions.

During the tour, participants will visit key attractions including the Parliament of Uganda, Aruu Falls in Pader District, Kidepo Valley National Park, and the Mbale Industrial Park, among others.

While flagging off the tourists, Hon. Mary Paula, Rukungiri District NRM Woman MP flag bearer, commended the initiative for fostering patriotism and encouraging citizens to explore and appreciate Uganda’s beauty. She urged the tourists to learn from the places they visit and apply the knowledge and experiences gained in their daily lives.

Hon. Paula also expressed appreciation for the tourists’ support of Boona FM’s initiatives and wished them a safe and enjoyable trip.
