Ntungamo District NRM leaders have formed 15 committees to spearhead preparations for President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s campaign rally scheduled for November 27th at Kyamate Playground.
The committees were constituted during a meeting held yesterday at the NRM district offices, attended by security officials including the DPC, DISO, RDC, NRM flag bearers, Members of Parliament, media houses, and musicians.
Hon. Yona Musinguzi, the NRM Vice Chairperson for Ntungamo District and MP for Ntungamo Municipality, said the committees will help mobilize supporters from across the district to ensure a highly successful rally. He emphasized the need for a mega turnout, noting that Ntungamo aims to outshine other districts the President has already visited.
Ntungamo RDC, Miriam Kagiga Mugisha, assured residents of maximum security during the President’s visit. She announced that buses and other vehicles will be deployed in every constituency to transport people to and from the rally free of charge.
In a show of support, Inspire Coffee Africa CEO Nelson Tugume pledged UGX 10 million to each constituency to facilitate transport for villagers attending the event.
NRM flag bearer for Ruhaama Constituency, Beatrice Rwakimari, urged residents to turn up in big numbers, stating that the President will share key highlights of the NRM manifesto with them.
Local artist Justine Swazi expressed the readiness of Ntungamo musicians to welcome the President and appealed for his support toward their district Musicians SACCO to enhance their income opportunities.
