Police in Mitooma District have arrested one person on allegations of murder of a 31-year-old man.
Marcial Tumusiime the greater Bushenyi police spokesperson has identified the suspect as Ezra Kabagambe 42, a resident of Nyabubaale cell, Karagara Parish Bitereko sub-county in Mitooma district.
Tumusiime further identified the deceased as Wilson Katusiime 31, a boda- boda rider, resident of Buhasha A1 Cell, Ryengyerero Parish, Rurehe Sub-county, Mitooma District.
It is alleged that on 15th September 2023 at around 08:00 pm Arinda Albert 18, a mechanic and a resident of Rushojwa village Nyakagongo ward, Kabira town Council Mitooma District while returning home, found the body of the unknown person lying in a pool of blood.
He made an alarm which attracted other people to the scene of the crime and later reported it to the Kabira police station.
Tumusiime said that it was established that the deceased was robbed of a motorcycle registration number UFD 900V Bajaj boxer red in color belonging to Bamwine Robert.
The body of the deceased was found lying in a pool of blood with a deep cut wound on his head and the right eyebrow and was taken to Kitagata Hospital in Sheema district.
