Residents of Munyeganyegye Cell in Masya Parish, Nyakagyeme Sub County, Rukungiri district, have voluntarily granted their land for the construction of a feeder road connecting them to the main road.
This crucial road plays a vital role in facilitating the transportation of their agricultural produce from the village to market centers in Nyabugando and Rukungiri town.
Billy Bakehemura, the community mobilizer for this road project, commended the community for their cooperation and dedication to the development of their area. He expressed gratitude to those who sacrificed their land for the road’s construction, emphasizing its significance in easing the transportation of farm produce to market centers.
Bakehemura encouraged continued participation in community work, known as “burungi bwansi,” to ensure the road’s proper maintenance.
David Karekyezi, a resident of the same area, praised those who mobilized the road construction for their patriotic commitment to local development.
He also commended the individuals who permitted the road’s construction on their land, recognizing the positive impact it will have on transportation in the area.
