The Minister of Finance (General Duties), Henry Musasizi, has honored his pledge of Shs 5 million to Kirigime Church of Uganda Parish, part of the All Saints Church of Uganda Archdeaconry in Kabale Municipality.
Minister Musasizi, who also serves as the Member of Parliament for Rubanda East Constituency, Rubanda District, made the pledge last month during the induction and installation ceremony of Rev. Mathias Obed Kugumisiriza as the new Parish Priest.
The donation was officially presented by Obed Mutatina Kitabutuka, the LC5 councilor for Bubaare Sub-county and Secretary for Social Services in Rubanda District, during a Sunday service at Kirigime Church of Uganda Parish. Kitabutuka praised Minister Musasizi for his consistent support of the church, highlighting that his contributions benefit people of all faiths.
The service, led by Rev. Mathias Obed Kugumisiriza, also served as a thanksgiving celebration for the children of the clergy. During his sermon, Shakson Akatusasira, the Missions Coordinator of St. Andrew’s Nyabikoni Church of Uganda Parish, encouraged Christians to have faith and walk in the light of God. He urged them to avoid despising others, reminding them that everyone is created with a purpose.
