Minister of Finance (General Duties) Henry Musasizi emphasized the importance of trust, reliability, consistency, and dependability to youth leaders in Rubanda District, highlighting these values as crucial for achieving long-term success.

Speaking at the Annual General Meeting of Rubanda East youth leaders held at St. John’s Secondary School Ikumba in Hamurwa town council, Minister Musasizi stressed the significance of trust in preparing for the future. He urged the youth to make principled decisions, steering clear of external influences that could undermine their long-term objectives.

Additionally, Minister Musasizi pledged support for a piggery project proposed by the youth leaders, responding to a proposal from Valence Karirengye, the Bubare Town Council Youth Chairperson. He encouraged the youth to develop the project concept and budget to kickstart the initiative. Karirengye mentioned that the piggery project, backed by Minister Musasizi, is set to benefit 216 youth leaders from Rubanda East Constituency.

Furthermore, Minister Musasizi advocated for the adoption of the Parish Development Model (PDM) and other government poverty alleviation programs to advance youth development.

Rubanda District LC5 Chairperson Stephen Ampeire Kasyaba noted that 12 youth groups have received 153 million shillings under the Youth Livelihood Program. He advised youth to join these groups to access government support programs.
