Minister of ICT and National Guidance, Honorable Dr. Chris Baryomunsi, participated in Easter prayers on Sunday alongside the congregants of Kayungwe Church Of Uganda in Kinkizi Diocese, Kanungu district.

During his speech, Dr. Baryomunsi emphasized the importance of not betraying those who extend kindness towards us. He highlighted the significance of avoiding animosity towards friends, stating that harboring such feelings contradicts the teachings of Jesus.

In response to the community’s concern about their priest lacking a proper residence, Dr. Baryomunsi generously donated one million Ugandan shillings and provided all necessary iron sheets for the construction of the priest’s house.

Following the service, the minister proceeded to Kayanja Catholic Church, his hometown church in Kayungwe sub-county, where he led prayers and delivered a message to the congregation.

Dr. Baryomunsi stressed the significance of education in shaping children into valuable and responsible individuals. This sentiment was echoed by Dr. Byamukama Edward, a medical professional at Mulago and Lira Referral Hospitals, who shared his journey from childhood in Kayungwe to becoming a doctor, attributing his success to his parents’ dedication to education.

Both Dr. Baryomunsi and Dr. Edward urged parents and children to prioritize education and strive for academic excellence.

At Kayanja Catholic Church, the congregation highlighted the need for a catechist’s house. In response, Dr. Baryomunsi pledged to contribute towards its completion by providing all necessary windows, doors, and an additional one million shillings.
