Itara and Makoomi Primary Schools in Mayanga Sub County, Mitooma District received a donation of twin seats worth 6 million from the Sub County on Tuesday, July 16, 2024.
Each school received 16 seats, aimed at significantly improving the quantity and quality of seating for better educational outcomes.
Mr. Karwani Lawrence, the Chairperson of LC3 Mayanga Sub County, urged the recipients to enhance their teaching efforts and fulfill the Sub County’s vision of achieving high-quality results.
Mr. Jozephati Twijukye, the Speaker of Mayanga Sub County, emphasized that the seats were procured to ensure better outcomes in the upcoming MOCK and PLE examinations.
Ms. Lydia Tuhairwe, the headmistress of Itara Primary School, expressed gratitude, noting that previously, pupils had been sitting on mats. With the new quality seats, she anticipated that students would sit comfortably, write effectively, and perform at their best.
