The Kabale District Health Educator, Alfred Besigensi has asked the public to use local measures in the prevention of both communicable and non-communicable diseases.
Besigensi revealed this on Wensday while speaking to our reporter in his office at Kabale district headquarters in Kabale municipality where he said that over 70% of diseases in Uganda most especially in local communities can be prevented and defeated locally if the public follows the measures according to health officials.
Besigensi also said that defeating communicable and non-communicable diseases doesn’t require a lot of money because having a cleaned and well-ventilated house, a well-located toilet washing hands, eating nutritious foods like local vegetables and even sleeping under mosquito nets can help to curb these diseases, especially Diarrhea, Typhoid, and Dysentery.
