KABALE:Kabale district Local government is hunting for over twenty million shillings to prepare for the district women’s day celebrations.
According to the district Communications Officer, Alex Byakatonda, the district currently has Six million shillings which he says cannot fully cater for the success of the function.
Byakatonda says that the Six million shillings, the district has included, three Million shillings the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development announced as part of support to every district for the first time to international women’s day celebrations at the district level.
Byakatonda told our reporter that the district Women’s function will be hosted at Kahungye playground in Ndorwa West on the 23rd of June.
He requested well-wishers, stakeholders, and development partners to join hands and support the district so that they have a colorful function.
