Believers from various denominations gathered at Kishariro Catholic Parish to mark the 8th anniversary of Rev. Fr. Oscar Ahimbisibwe, affectionately known as Omusyasya, in the priesthood.

The Mass, led by Rev. Fr. Beingana Muntu Keneth, featured expressions of gratitude to Fr. Oscar’s parents and the faithful who have supported him throughout his priestly journey. Fr. Keneth extended his congratulations to Fr. Oscar on reaching this significant milestone.

In his sermon, Fr. Keneth emphasized that the priestly vocation is a divine call, originating from God rather than from the individual. He drew parallels with Jesus calling Peter, Andrew, James, John, and Paul, noting that each was called individually by name.

Fr. Oscar, in his reflections, expressed deep gratitude to God for the protection, guidance, and wisdom received throughout his ministry.

He acknowledged that without divine support, his journey in the priesthood would not have been possible.
