Mugabe
Alex Nathan Mugabe, the LC3 Chairperson of Kebisoni Town Council in Rukungiri District, has urged the public to adopt responsible eating habits to prevent non-communicable diseases. He delivered this message today, Sunday, September 1, 2024, during a funeral service for Jorab Ankwatsize, a UPDF soldier, in Kiborogota Village, Northern Ward, Kebisoni Town Council, Rukungiri District.
Reflecting on the death of Jorab Ankwatsize, who succumbed to liver and kidney failure, Mugabe attributed the illness to excessive alcohol consumption and smoking, citing the deceased’s account after his diagnosis. He challenged the community to eat and drink responsibly, particularly about alcohol consumption.
In his sermon, Rev. Edson Muhairwe, the parish priest of Rumbugu Church of Uganda, condemned hatred, emphasizing that God’s commandment calls us to love one another to enter the Kingdom of God.
Kenneth Tukwasibwe, the deceased’s elder brother, expressed his sorrow over the loss of a democratic and hardworking individual.
Mary Mbabazi, the widow of the deceased, described her late husband as a caring and dedicated parent.
The deceased is survived by his widow and four sons.
